Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. Primary responsibilities include assisting during surgical procedures, preparing the sterile field, handling instruments, and ensuring patient safety throughout the case under the supervision of the surgeon and RN staff.

You will participate in maintaining aseptic technique, coordinating with the circulating nurse, and aiding with patient transfer and postoperative care.

Qualifications

• Completed education in surgical technology or equivalent training.
• Certification obtained or pursued within required timeframe.
• Ability to follow surgeon's preference card and operating room protocols.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for surgical preparation of procedures.
• Set up sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist with patient care at the end of the surgical procedure.
• Promote safe environment and teamwork in the OR.
