Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio is seeking a direct-hire Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room. The role entails assisting in invasive procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety under RN supervision and with the surgical team.

The position reports to the Director of Surgery Department and involves day shifts with on-call rotation. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program; CST preferred; BLS recommended.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Preferred CST certification by NBSTSA.
• AST membership preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment for each procedure.
• Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment during the procedure.
• Maintains sterile technique and 100% accurate sponge counts.
• Scrubs, gowns, gloves and sets up sterile table.
• Assists with patient transfers and supports comfort and safety.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of Surgical Technology

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA

Membership with Association of Surgical Technologists (AST)
