Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio is seeking a direct hire Patient Care Technician / Operating Room Assistant (PCT/ORA) for the Surgery Department. The role supports patient care, room preparation, equipment management and perioperative activities under RN supervision.

The position is part time (1st shift) with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing critical support across pediatric to geriatric patients and contributing to safe, efficient surgical operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of healthcare experience or training preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Positioning, transfers and mobility assistance; obtain vital signs.
• Transport patients to Surgery, SDS, PACU and inpatient units.
• Prepare and maintain operating rooms and perioperative areas.
• Assist surgeons, anesthesia providers and nurses with patient care and equipment.
