Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting the surgical team. The role ensures safe, efficient, and organized surgical care.

The candidate should complete an accredited Surgical Technology program and hold current certification; CST may be preferred. Prior OR experience is advantageous, with strong attention to detail and teamwork emphasized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification or credential as required.
• Surgical Technology certification such as CST preferred or required as applicable.
• Previous operating room or surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection prevention practices.
• Assist surgeons and other surgical team members during procedures.
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies.
• Prepare and handle specimens according to established procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport.
• Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
• Complete required documentation and report equipment or safety concerns.
• Follow patient safety and operating room protocols.
