Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to prepare and maintain medical equipment for procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety under supervision. The role supports the OR team and assists the circulating RN during pre-operative activities.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program, with 1 year of experience substitutable; strong communication, customer service, and computer skills are essential, along with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper equipment, instruments and supplies are provided for procedures and specialty areas.
• Maintain a well-organized sterile setup/field at all times.
• Anticipate and respond timely with efficiency when performing assignments.
• Follow proper sterile techniques and maintain a sterile field at all times.
• Provide assistance to the circulating RN with procedure/patient preparation.
• Operate autoclaves and follow sterilization methods for instruments.
• Follow the instrument/sponges/sharps counting procedure.
• Check instrumentation for proper functionality throughout the procedure.
