Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Surg Tech
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program; 1 year substitute allowed
• Strong communication, customer service and computer skills; knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Surgical Case Preparation
• Ensure proper equipment, instruments and supplies are provided for procedures and specialty areas
• Maintain a sterile setup/field at all times
• Assist the OR team and circulating RN as needed
• Follow sterile techniques and maintain sterile field
• Assist with room turnovers and efficient workflow
• Respond promptly to emergencies and trauma cases
• Preceptor for new team members
• Other duties as assigned
