Job summary

Surgery Partners in Cape Coral, FL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in preparing and maintaining a sterile operating room environment under surgeon and nurse supervision. The role supports patient safety and efficient procedures through instrument handling and team collaboration.

The position requires enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technologist program and a current BLS certification, with 0–2 years of related clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 0–2 years of clinical healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Conduct safety checks on equipment and supplies before procedures.
• Assist with positioning patients on the procedure table.
• Support the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with instrument handling and counts.
• Assist with decontamination, sterilization and infection prevention activities.
