Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited (CAAHEP) surgical technologist program or equivalent military training.
• 10+ years’ experience as a Surgery Technician or Fellowship completion with OhioHealth OR ST.
• High school diploma or GED and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical cases by obtaining supplies, equipment and instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Act as 2nd assistant to the surgeon and deliver instruments; assist with positioning and specimen handling.
• Participate in unit operations, mentorship of new personnel, and routine equipment maintenance.
