Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to prepare the operating room, maintain a sterile field, and assist the surgeon and team during procedures. The role involves handling instruments, draping, and performing in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Minimum qualifications include HE high school/GED, BLS, and surgical technologist certification with the ability to scrub complex cases. A sign-on bonus of $7500 is available for eligible external applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; BLS Basic Life Support
• Completion of OhioHealth OR ST Fellowship or equivalent training/experience
• ST certification preferred; ability to scrub complex cases independently

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical cases by obtaining and preparing supplies, equipment and instruments.
• Establishes sterile field and presents instruments to the operating team; acts as 2nd assistant to surgeon.
• Assists in decontamination, room turnover, and proper care of specimens and equipment.
• Can assist with positioning, casting, grafts, and draping under supervision.
