Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and room preparation for surgical procedures. You will assist with gowning, draping, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field throughout operations.

The role requires knowledge of aseptic techniques, OR equipment, and strong customer service. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required, with BLS certification to follow within six months where applicable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in preparation of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of operating room equipment and instrumentation.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe, efficient operating area and sterile field during procedures.
• Assists with gowning/gloving, preparation/draping, and passing instruments as directed.
• Sets up the OR, moves equipment, and operates necessary devices during cases.
• Transports patients and equipment, and notifies staff of equipment or supply issues.
