Job summary

Berger Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room and support the surgical team. The role involves preparing rooms, gathering supplies, delivering instruments, and assisting the surgeon intraoperatively.

The position includes duties for post-operative room turnover and equipment maintenance. Minimum qualifications include BLS certification and graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program, with the potential for additional competency in robotic or specialty

Qualifications

• Basic surgical asepsis and sterile technique proficiency.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and prepare supplies.
• Strong communication and teamwork within the OR team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical cases and maintain sterile field.
• Serve as second assistant to the surgeon and assist with draping.
• Assist in instrument handling, specimen labeling and specimen handling.
