Job summary

Virtua Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to scrub, prepare, and assist during operative procedures at Mount Holly facilities. You will help maintain a sterile field and support the surgical team throughout cases.

You will rotate between Mount Holly Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery, with three 10-hour shifts per week, 30 hours total. One year of OR experience and graduation from a accredited Surgical Technology program are required; BLS is required, and certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year OR Training or Experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
• BLS. Surgical Technologist Certification preferred. Maintenance of New Jersey State CE requirements (15 CEs/year).

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for, prepares, sets up and assists during surgical procedures and supports nursing and ancillary staff by transporting patients as needed.
• Prepares instruments and supplies for future procedures.
• Collects and handles specimens according to policy and procedures.
