Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to float between the Mount Holly Operating Room and the Mount Holly Ambulatory - Surgery department based on surgical need. The position features three 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) on Tue, Wed, and Fri, with on-call requirements for evenings and holidays.

Under RN/Physician supervision, you will handle instruments, supplies and equipment to maintain a sterile field and support patient care during

Qualifications

• One year OR Training or Experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
• BLS.
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
• Maintenance of New Jersey State required 15 CEs per year.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for, prepares, sets-up and assists during any surgical procedure and provides support to nursing and ancillary departments by transporting and transferring patients to and between units when necessary.
• Prepares instruments and supplies for future procedures.
• Collects and handles specimens according to policy and procedures.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
