Job summary

Aurora Medical Center of Oshkosh, Inc. in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate the Surgeons' needs during procedures.

You will set up rooms, pass instruments, and help position patients while upholding safety standards and aseptic techniques. No prior experience required, but completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in preparing materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of operating room equipment used during procedures.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clean, safe, and efficient area for optimal patient care and assists with gowning, gloving, draping, and sterile field setup.
• Assists in a variety of procedures and maintains knowledge of different procedures.
• Ensures disinfection and safety of the OR and sets up rooms for cases, including equipment movement and post-procedure cleaning.
• Operates equipment in the OR and passes instruments, supplies, and retractors as needed.
• Transports patients and equipment and maintains supply carts.
