Job summary

Northeast-Atlanta-Vascular-Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams under surgeons and RNs. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and sterile setup, assisting with patient prep, passing instruments, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates have OR experience in interventional radiology or vascular settings, CPR certification current or within 90 days, and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team in a surgical environment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification must be current or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Minimum one year experience in interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, or vascular setting preferred
• Knowledge of over the wire technique preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures
• Set up instruments, drapes, and solutions in the OR before operations
• Assist in patient skin prep and aseptic preparation
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and verify operation
• Prepare, position, and transport patients for surgery
• Monitor vitals and support the surgical team with gowns and gloves
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants
• Assist with specimen handling, dressings, and instrument counts
• Operate sterilizers and diagnostic equipment as needed
• Help transfer patients to recovery and restock the OR
