Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist physicians during surgeries in the OR across multiple specialties. You will perform technical and some patient-care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and act as a resource across various surgical service lines.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.
• 3 years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification required or in lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire required; LPN license in GA if applicable; CST - Certified Surgical Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines and serves as a resource.
