Hours/Pay Period: 80

Summary:

A Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who assists the RN with the delivery of direct patient care in the operative setting.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma required; graduate from an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Licensure: Certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years as a Surgical Technologist.

Working Conditions:

Physical environment and safety requirements include standing, sitting, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Frequent lifting, moving, pushing, pulling, and transferring of patients and equipment. Exposure to hazardous materials, blood, and body fluids. Must meet all safety requirements of the Medical Center.
