Hours/Pay Period: 80
Varied Shift: 11:00 am - 7:30 pm
Under the direction of the Patient Services Manager or Assistant Director, performs essential food and nutrition duties, including patient menu selection, tray and nourishment distribution, meal tray assembly and setup, and delivery of par stock to patient and ancillary departments. Responsible for kitchen operation in the absence of management.
High School Diploma or GED
Previous Nutrition Assistant experience required. Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and back-of-house kitchen operations.
Kitchen or cafeteria environment with potential wet floors, exposure to high/low temperature equipment, sharp objects, tools, and machinery. Must meet annual safety training requirements. Physical demands include standing up to 90 minutes, walking, sitting, hearing, speaking, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting (over 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, and climbing.
