Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas seeks a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist (PRN) to support obstetric procedures with the surgical team. You will prepare the suite, assist with positioning and draping, and provide hands-on support to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

The role offers access to training and mentorship, predictable scheduling with on-call support, and clear pathways for growth in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a surgical technician program required.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• Current BCLS required (AHA or Red Cross).
• Minimum two years L&D surgical tech experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping for obstetric procedures.
• Provide instruments and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintain sterile field, perform counts, ensure equipment function.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver patient-centered obstetric care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands‑on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient‑centered care and a seamless surgical experience

What qualifications you will need:

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Successful completion of a surgical technician program required
• Current Surgical Technician Certification through NBSTSA Required
• Current BCLS Required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
• Minimum two (2) years Labor & Delivery surgical tech experience in an acute care facility required
