Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora is seeking a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist (PRN) to support obstetric and surgical cases. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist during procedures, and ensure sterile technique to maintain patient safety and compassionate care.

You will participate in on-call scheduling, collaborate with a high-performing team, and contribute to training and mentorship opportunities within a large health system focused on newborn safety and excellence in obstetric surgery.

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred
• Graduate of accredited program for Operating Room Technician
• One or more years of experience as a Surgery Technician
• Advanced knowledge of the scrub role and multiple surgical procedures
• Demonstrates good organizational skills
• Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers
• Authorized to handle medications, syringes, needles, etc. and is accountable to the registered nurse for oversight of this practice

Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department.

• You will be experienced in all aspects of aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases, pulling cases as needed, and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure.

• You will be knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment, and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures.

• You will perform delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery.

• You may assist with orienting new employees and is available for call assigned on a scheduled basis.

Position Requirements:

• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Registration as a Surgical Tech by Colorado Division of Registration (DORA).

• Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred.

• Graduate of accredited program for Operating Room Technician.

• One or more years of experience as a Surgery Technician.

• Advanced knowledge of the scrub role and multiple surgical procedures.

• Demonstrates good organizational skills.

• Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
