Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas seeks a Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist (CVOR) to join a high‑skill cardiac team. You’ll access advanced surgical equipment and support surgeons with instrument handling, patient safety, and sterile technique.

The role emphasizes on‑call support, professional growth, and a collaborative environment with dedicated resources for patient care in a leading Nevada facility.

Competenze

• Graduation from high school or equivalent program.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.
• Must hold a nationally recognized surgical tech certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Mansioni

• Prepare and organize the surgical suite with instruments for safe procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping.
• Scrub in and provide instruments, handle specimens, support the surgeon.
• Monitor equipment and patient status during procedures; act quickly.
• Maintain sterile field and contribute to turnover and teamwork.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be a vital part of a highly-skilled team that shares in your passion for cardiac surgery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with the right instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Supporting patients with transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while protecting their comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the needs of the team
• Monitoring equipment and patient status throughout procedures, taking quick, effective action when needed
• Maintaining a sterile field, ensuring thorough room turnover, and contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing team culture

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from high school or equivalent program
• Graduation an accredited school of surgical technology, or completion of a training program for surgical technologists administered by the US Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard required
• Must have obtained certification from a nationally recognized certification board prior to hire, and will maintain certification without lapse throughout duration of employment
• Current basic life support certification
• 1-year experience in an acute care operating room setting is required
• 1-year experience in CVOR is required
• 1-year open heart experience is required
• Vein Harvesting experience is required
