Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA, is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main OR and Outpatient OR. The role supports perioperative operations, working with surgeons, OR nurses, and anesthesia staff to deliver high-quality surgical care.

Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited tech program; BLS is mandatory, NBSTSA/NCCT and Virginia licensure may be required at start. Pay ranges between $26.40 and $32.05 hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved surgical technologist program.
• Current BLS certification required at time of hire.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification and Virginia licensure are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical supplies and instrumentation per surgeon preference cards.
• Maintain a sterile field and apply aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipate needs of surgeons and the perioperative team.
• Support safe, efficient workflows across diverse procedures.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing OR environment.
