Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Downtown in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day shift position; candidates must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and participate in the required call rotation.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will assemble and maintain a sterile field, anticipate the surgeon’s needs, prepare instruments, and collaborate with the team to minimize anesthesia time and promote

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• BLS required.
• CST through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Aufgaben

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
