Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Downtown for a full-time day shift. The role requires flexibility for weekends, holidays, and call rotation.

The Surgical Technologist will maintain a sterile environment, support surgeons, and ensure safe, efficient procedures within the operating room setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This is a full-time day shift position. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and participate in the required call rotation.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting surgeons and the operating room team by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures.

As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities include:

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.


• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.


• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.

Experience Requirements:

• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.


• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.
