Baptist Health Downtown Campus is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room on a 12–13 week contract. The role supports the surgical team, maintains sterile technique, hands instruments, and ensures patient safety throughout procedures.

The position requires 2–3 years of Surgical Services experience, a High School Diploma, BLS, and preferred TS-C or CST certifications. It does not require call, nights, or weekends.

Baptist Health is looking for a Surgical Technologist to join our Main Operating Room Team at our Baptist Downtown Campus. This is a short-term contracted position requiring a commitment of 12-13 weeks. This is a Full-Time position. A surgical technologist in this role will work as part of the surgical services and operating room teams in the Main OR. The individual will assist the surgical team during surgeries, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Between surgeries, the individual will clean and restock the operating room. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care.

As a Surgical Technologist in the Main OR your responsibilities will include: Providing for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement organization. Supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant other (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case. This position does not require call, nights, or weekends.

Experience Requirements: 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements: High School Diploma Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT Preferred Or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Preferred
