Job summary

UCHealth in Denver is seeking a full-time Surgical Technician to join their LDRP PCU North team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and quality at the point of care.

This position requires a High School diploma or GED and a state registration as a Surgical Assistant or Technologist. The expected pay range is $27.61 - $41.41 per hour based on relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
  • State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
  • 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.

Responsibilities

  • Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.
  • Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care.

Department: LDRP PCU North

Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
  • State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
  • 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

  • Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.

Women's Care and Infants
  • Direct care units include Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery - Birth Center, Women's Care and NICUA.
  • WHONN's and AACN's practice standards and certifications including RNC-OB, C‑EFM, NRP and CCRN guide evidence‑based care models.
  • Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
