Job summary

Azspineandjoint is seeking a surgical technologist to assist in operating room procedures under surgeon and nurse supervision. You will prepare and maintain equipment, set up instruments, and participate in pre- and post-operative tasks to ensure patient safety.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program, CPR certified, with 0–2 years of clinical experience in a related field and a commitment to sterile technique and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program, technical program or related.
• Must be certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Help prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and follows regulations.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and ensures it is working.
• Gets patients ready for surgery, transports them to the OR, and assists with positioning.
