Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech/OR Tech) to assist in surgical procedures under surgeons and nurses in our operating rooms. You will help maintain a safe, sterile environment before, during, and after surgeries.

Qualifications include enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technologist program and current BLS certification; zero to two years of clinical healthcare experience is preferred. This full-time role is based in Cape Coral, FL and offers growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in and actively completing an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Zero to two years of clinical experience in a healthcare-related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and verify proper functionality.
• Follow all facility, state, and federal regulations related to patient care and surgical services.
• Assist with positioning patients safely on the procedure table.
• Maintain the sterile field throughout the surgical case and assist with instrument handling.
• Support the surgical team and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Participate in instrument decontamination, sterilization, and infection prevention processes.
• Maintain professional communication and teamwork with physicians, nurses, and staff.
