Job summary

Christiana Care Health System in Newark, DE seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist the OR team as a scrub professional, under RN supervision. The role covers neonatal to geriatric patient care and handling of instruments with aseptic technique.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and completed a surgical technologist program. BCLS certification required; 40hr/week, day/evening shifts; sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited, approved surgical technologist program (hire after 2009).
• Knowledge of scrub responsibilities across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Ability to perform scrub techniques and maintain aseptic technique.
• Ability to follow procedures and seek learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficient scrub skills.
• Scrubs a wide range of procedures.
• Handles instruments/equipment and maintains aseptic technique.
• Learns new scrub techniques and instrumentation.
• Communicates effectively with team and reports safety issues.
