Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to scrub on a variety of surgical cases in our main Operating Room. You will assist surgeons and anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.

Graduation from a CAAHEP/ABHES-accredited Surgical Technology program or NCCT-authorized school is required, with NBSTSA certification within six months. 1 year OR experience is preferred; strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Surgical Technology program OR graduation from an NCCT-authorized school with completion of a GED or high school diploma. Associate degree preferred.
• Military training in Surgical Technology requires a DD214 copy and graduation certification if not accredited.
• Applicants with an associate degree or higher and 120+ cases in last 4 years and 30 CE credits in 2 years may be considered.
• NBSTSA certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• 1 year of OR experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal) required.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, multitask with responsibility; self-directed and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on a variety of surgical cases in the Operating Room.
• Assist surgeons and anticipate needs during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and aseptic standards.
