Qualifikationen

• NBSTSA or NCCT Certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Aufgaben

• Prepares operating room by selecting and opening sterile supplies.
• Ensures all sterile equipment and instruments are in good working order prior to the start of the case.
• Pass instruments and provide sterile items to surgeons and assist during procedures; observe sterile techniques.
• Checks and distributes fluids and drugs on the sterile field; connects drains and tubing.
• Performs surgical counts and follows AORN Standards and department policies.
• Assists with turnover of the operating room and prepares case carts for next procedures.
