Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for the Operating Room. The role supports surgeons with instruments and maintains the sterile field during complex and basic surgeries. Shifts are overnight, Monday to Thursday, on-site with no call required.

At least 2 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification are required. Certifications are flexible if appropriate training was completed; extensive OR duties are described in detail in

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred; other approved training acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring surgical equipment is functioning and sterile field is maintained.
• Assist with instrument passing, draping, and patient positioning during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and participate in time-out procedures for patient safety.
• Support sterile processing and room turnover after procedures.
