Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Georgia seeks a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams across multiple service lines, ensuring patient safety and sterile practice.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, passing instruments, performing counts, and assisting in labor and delivery as needed. The shift runs 7AM-7PM, with adherence to hospital policies and rapid turnover of cases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or post-secondary education.
• Must have American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program and working as a Surgical Technologist with one (1) year of experience.
• OR Three (3) years of full-time employment within the last seven (7) years in an Operating Room setting working as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgical team before, during, and after procedures.
• Reviewing supplies and equipment; setting up surgical equipment; preparing patients for surgery.
• Maintains sterile techniques and passes instruments to the physician.
• Transports patients and specimens; cleans and prepares ORs for subsequent cases.
• Supports rapid turnover of surgical procedures and assists with Labor and Delivery tasks as needed.
