About City of Hope Orange County

City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer treatment by bringing world-class expertise and specialized care closer to home. Supported by a regional network of care, our 11-acre academic cancer campus in Irvine is home to the City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, our outpatient cancer center, and Orange County's only cancer specialty hospital, opening in late 2025.

With the opening of the hospital, the full continuum of advanced cancer care—from prevention through survivorship—will be available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature 73 inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. This isn't standard cancer care. This is lifesaving cancer care. This is Hope.

Position Overview

Join our team as a Surgical Technologist II, where you will play a crucial role in surgical and endoscopic procedures! As a vital member of the Operating Room Team, your responsibilities include:

• Setting up and maintaining a sterile field for surgery
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team
• Assisting in patient care
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and survey readiness to provide safe and effective surgical care

About the OR

• 3 Operating Rooms and 2 Procedure rooms
• Types of cases include Urology, GYN, Breast, Reconstructive Urology, Colorectal, General, and Plastics
• Endoscopic procedures include Colonoscopies, ERCPs, EGDs, and Bronchoscopies
• Work Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 06:30 am - 07:00 pm, including weekends

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

• Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training; experience may substitute for education
• At least 3 years of experience scrubbing major and/or endoscopic cases in a hospital setting
• BLS certification
• For candidates with less than 3 years of experience, consideration for Surgical Technologist I (Pay range: $32.13/hr - $40.16/hr - $48.21/hr)
