Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health Care in Camden, NJ seeks a Surgical Technologist II to join its fast-paced Surgical Suite. The per diem, night-shift role supports a busy operating room team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician in a renowned Level I Trauma Center.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, NBSTSA or equivalent certification, and about 1 year of experience; weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists.
• NBSTSA Certification or equivalent credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Surgical Suite under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician.
• Support a high-volume operating room team in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in perioperative activities and maintain sterile technique.

Short Description

The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

Experience Required

• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred

Education Requirements

• Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists

License/Certification Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT - National Center for Competency Testing, etc.)

Hourly Rate Max $42.5
