We are currently offering a sign-on bonus for all eligible full-time Surgical Technologist positions! The amount of the sign-on bonus depends on your years of Surgical Technology experience.

0-1 years of experience:

2-year commitment: $10,000

3-year commitment: $12,000

1-2 years of experience:

2-year commitment: $10,000

3-year commitment: $17,000

2+ years of experience:

2-year commitment: $15,000

3-year commitment: $25,000

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role involves performing direct and indirect technical tasks for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in setting up the surgical operating suite with appropriate instruments and supplies. (20%)
2. Use proper aseptic techniques and follow standard precautions. Handle medications and specimens according to policy. (20%)
3. Prepare, position, and drape patients; participate in the surgical pause to verify patient and surgical site. (20%)
4. Understand, anticipate, and adapt to surgeon preferences and patient care variables; contribute to updating surgeon preference materials. (20%)
5. Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts. (10%)
6. Care for resources to promote a cost-effective and efficient environment for patients. (10%)
7. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience/training; or equivalent education and experience.
• Surgical Technologist (ST) hired after 12/29/2020 must:
• Successfully complete an accredited Surgical Technologist program and maintain certification within 6 months, or
• Be employed to practice surgical technology by a healthcare facility on or before 12/29/2020, or
• Have been employed as a surgical technologist in another healthcare facility within two years before 12/29/2020.

CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred:

• 1-3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
