Job summary

AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking Surgical Technologists to support Madigan Army Medical Center's Department of Anesthesia and Operative Services. The role involves preparing patients, instruments, and sterile supplies; assisting surgeons and nurses; maintaining sterile technique; and cleaning the OR after procedures.

Shift patterns vary; candidates must have surgical technology credentials and BLS. 1+ year experience in OR settings preferred, with readiness for high-acuity cases including

Qualifications

• Certificate in Surgical Technology (CAAHEP/ABHES) or military surgical tech training.
• U.S. Army/Navy/Air Force surgical tech training accepted.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare OR, instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Position and drape patients for surgery.
• Assist surgeons and OR team during surgeries including trauma cases.
• Pass instruments and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and patient safety concerns.
• Assist with postoperative dressings and patient care.
• Restock and prepare OR after procedures.
