Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of surgical technician or OR technician experience (past 2 years).
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• CST/TS-C or MOS certification or Military MOS in surgical tech.
• CAAHEP/ABHES accredited program or military surgical tech training.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile and aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain instruments, trays, and equipment.
• Position and drape patients for surgery and verify preoperative data.
• Assist during routine, complex, trauma, and OB/GYN procedures.
• Anticipate needs and provide instruments during procedures.
• Monitor for complications and respond to emergencies under RN supervision.
• Perform sponge, needle, instrument, and sharp counts.
• Maintain clean, safe operating room before/during/after procedures.
