Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels seeks a Surgical Technologist to support pre-operative care and OR readiness. You will prep patient skin, maintain aseptic technique, and transport patients to and from the Operating Room while coordinating with surgeons and nurses.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technology program and BLS certification, with preferred experience scrubing multiple specialties. Full-time, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, on-site in New Braunfels, TX.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub 3 specialty areas including Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Robotics, etc.
• Establishes and maintains the sterile field, passes instruments, and assists the physician.
• Prepares the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies.
• Performs duties under the direction of a professional nurse and in collaboration with the OR team.
