Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures and instrument handling. You will prepare OR setups, assist during surgery, and ensure aseptic techniques throughout cases.

The role requires completing a surgical technologist program with certification within six months of hire; a Basic Life Support certification is preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 applies with a two-year commitment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a surgical technologist program.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist within six months of hire.
• Preferred: Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and arranges OR equipment, instruments and supplies.
• Handles tissue and provides wound exposure as first assistant.
• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors safety standards.
• Anticipates surgeon's needs and supplies instruments accordingly.
• Participates in on-call system and staff education.
