Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams, prepare instruments, and assist in surgical procedures under RN supervision.

Minimum qualifications include an accredited surgical technologist program with certification and AHA BLS; prior PSH experience or related healthcare experience is preferred. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program and maintains certification.
• US Army/Navy/Air Force training in surgical technology.
• Previously employed in PSH or similar facility prior to 2020.
• AHA BLS certification required prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties under RN guidance in the Operating Room.
• Prepares supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assists in surgical procedures, adhering to aseptic technique.
• Acts as a preceptor to less experienced staff and students.
