Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the CHA Cambridge Hospital temporary pool. The role supports the surgical provider and circulating nurse through preparation and assistance with procedures, ensuring a sterile OR and timely supplies.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of a surgical technologist program, and 2+ years OR experience. Flexible day/evening shifts, 40 hrs/week, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Periop 101 completion prior to or during CHA orientation.
• Minimum 2 years surgical technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Consults with caregivers to obtain clinical information.
• Assist surgical team with instruments and sterile technique.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist with endoscopy.
• Set up procedure rooms with equipment and supplies.
• Passes instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
