Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist for its Perioperative Services in Cambridge. The role supports orthopedic, general, ophthalmology, urology, plastics, and related procedures, ensuring sterile technique and proper equipment handling in a fast-paced OR.

Responsibilities include assisting surgeons and circulating nurses, maintaining sterility, and contributing to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program is required.
• Periop101 completion during CHA orientation is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certifications are required.
• Minimum 2 years current surgical technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical provider and circulating nurse through preparation and assistance with surgical procedures.
• Prepare surgical equipment and provide equipment to surgeons during surgery; maintain sterile environment in OR.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership, accountability, and initiative in delivering patient care in the OR.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program

Successful completion of Periop101 during CHA orientation

American Heart Association BLS certification

Certified Surgical Technologist certifications

Minimum 2 years current surgical technologist experience
