Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in lieu of education acceptable per policy.
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures and applies sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Maintain asepsis and sterile environment during procedures.
• Coordinate supplies and equipment for efficient operation.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Charge for equipment and supplies as needed.
• Assist with room turnover and setup; sterilize instruments per policy.
• Scrub during procedures and teach students as needed.
