Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the Operating Room team. The role supports intraoperative patient care under RN supervision, scrubs, and handles sterile technique with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Independent scrubbing of basic surgical procedures and sterile technique.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and aseptic technique.
• Organize supplies and equipment for efficient department workflow.
• Ensure safety and compliance with hospital policies.
• Charge for equipment and supplies as needed.
• Turn over rooms and set up for next patient promptly.
• Sterilize and document loads of instruments as required.
