Job summary

Carle Health seeks an experienced Surgical Technician to join our Operating Room team. The role supports intraoperative patient care under RN supervision, with various shifts and scheduling options for flexibility.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certification, BLS within 30 days, and ability to scrub and assist in procedures. We offer relocation assistance for eligible candidates and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology.
• Surgical Technology field or related education as listed (Education section).
• BLS certification within 30 days from hire.

Responsibilities

• Applies asepsis to maintain sterile environment.
• Demonstrates competency in technical and psychomotor skills.
• Maintains safe environment and adheres to safety policies.
• Organizes and coordinates supplies and equipment.
• Performs sterilization and prepares instrumentation per policy.
• Scrubbing duties for students and staff.
• Turns OR rooms over and sets up for the next patient.
