Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our Operating Room team, supporting intraoperative care under RN supervision. We offer multiple shifts and scheduling options to fit your lifestyle and career goals.

You will scrub in on procedures, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with surgeons and nurses in a modern, well-equipped environment. A sign‑on bonus and relocation options may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and asepsis during procedures.
• Coordinate supplies and equipment for efficient department operations.
• Ensure safety and compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Perform room turnover and setup for next case.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments per policy.
• Scrub for Medical Students, Residents, and other students.
