Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Surgical Technologist to join our Flex Team. The role is full-time with three 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends, and no on-call requirements.

The position involves floating between campuses, including Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, with a focus on patient safety and efficient operating room flow. An ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience and will undergo Level II background screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 2 years of surgical technologist experience.
• Background screening (Level II) required.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing, and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and preparing accordingly.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Working with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
