Job summary

Baptist Jacksonville (Downtown) is seeking a Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to join our Float Team. This full-time role offers a flexible schedule to accommodate your lifestyle. A full-time candidate is required to work three shifts per week, weekends included for both.

All shifts are 10-hour shifts and there is no on-call required. A Surgical Technologist in this position will float between campuses including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Surgical Services Experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per AHA.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing, and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and the progression of the case and preparing accordingly.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Working with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and to promote patient safety.

As a member of the Float Team, you will have the opportunity to work Full-time, offering a flexible schedule to accommodate your lifestyle. A full-time candidate is required to work three shifts per week, weekends included for both. All shifts are 10-hour shifts and there is no on-call required.
