Baptist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our Float Team in the Jacksonville area. The role requires at least two years of OR experience and graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program (CAAHEP or ABHES).

Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile field, anticipating case needs, and ensuring patient safety with the surgical team. Flexibility is offered with PRN and FT schedules; PRN requires four shifts per month, FT requires three shifts per week including

Baptist Health is looking for a Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to join our Float Team.

As a member of the Float Team, you will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate your lifestyle. A PRN candidate is required to work four shifts per month and a full-time candidate is required to work three shifts per week, weekends included.

A Surgical Technologist in this position will float between campuses including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating room. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and patient-focused environment while enjoying the benefits of a flexible work schedule.

As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling, organizing, and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and the progression of the case and preparing accordingly.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Working with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and to promote patient safety.

• Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
• Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting Minimum of two years of working experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Experience in Ortho – total joints, robot, general, Gynecology, ENT, or urology.

Experience Requirements: 2 years Surgical Services Experience Required Education & Credential Requirements: Vocational School or Associates Degree Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
